Fire on the Mountain Festival
Celebrate the art of the blacksmith! It's fascinating to watch them craft sculpture, jewelry, furniture and amazing art creations. The festival lines the Locust Street in downtown Spruce Pine (locals call it Lower Street). It includes demonstrations, arts and crafts to buy, food and more. Hours are 10 AM-4 PM, and it's free to attend. This area is home to the highly respected Penland School of Craft with many world-class artists. Come grab a sips and enjoy the festivities.

L&L Furniture Worship Night
Come join us downtown Spruce Pine for our 2nd annual Downtown Worship event on May 3rd, 2023 starting at 5:30 PM! Liver mush Festival - Marion, NC
The Liver Mush Festival celebrates the local favorite food and its heritage in western North Carolina. It is held 5-9 PM in downtown Marion, just 35 miles from Asheville. The historic Main Street is filled with a variety of vendors, a long line for the coveted liver mush sandwich, hog calling, and cheers for the liver mush eating contest. It's one of our Top Summer Festivals & Events. We loved our visit and took these photos.

Spruce Alien Festival
Join alien and UFO enthusiasts at the 4th annual Spruce Pine Alien Festival, also known previously as the (SPACE) Festival in Downtown Spruce Pine on Oak Avenue. The Spruce Pine Alien Festival is featured as a top 30 festival event in the month of June in North Carolina by NC tripping. Last year’s Alien Festival was enjoyed by over 50,000 avid Alien and UFO lovers trekking through Spruce Pine looking for Alien life forms and is the largest UFO/Alien Festival in North Carolina!

Unicoi Apple Festival
In 2025, the Unicoi County Apple Festival will celebrate forty-eight years of music, crafts, and tradition. Each year, over 120,000 devoted attendees fill the streets of downtown Erwin, Tennessee to enjoy the festivities and to celebrate the unofficial kick-off to fall in the beautiful East Tennessee mountains. The Festival includes more than 400 vendors from around the country featuring a wide variety of arts and crafts, two large food court area with covered seating is located on the festival grounds so attendees may also enjoy festival food, and your favorite Sips Soda Shop® and specialty cuisine. Two entertainment stages featuring live music perfectly complement the arts and crafts atmosphere. A large children’s area complete with rides and activities is included in the festival for both the young and young-at-heart. A wide array of tournaments are featured each year including a 4-mile race, cooking contest, and Apple Dumpling Contest.
